Given the recent events surrounding online

Given the recent events surrounding online gambling in the United States, whether it’s sports betting casino poker or bingo we again were asked the million dollar question, it is illegal for me to gamble online if I live in the USA?

The answer we give is the same as it always is though now our position has been supported by the US Government. The bill that supposedly makes it illegal in 2006 did not actually make it illegal for you to play at all but instead make it it illegal for American banks judi casino to process gaming transactions. This in itself is not effective for many gambling companies do not use American banks anyway.

It really does not make it an offense for an individual to play at an online casino or poker site. Given this glaring hole in the legislation even bank fought back claiming they do not have to put in the position of policing online gambling. At the same time Senator Barney Frank is preparing a bill to make the ban obsolete and instead of doing the right thing and regulate the online gambling industry.

The important point here is the schedule for Friday, November 27, 2009, Tuesday, December 1st and Thursday, December 3rd.

Tuesday, December 1st is the day UIEGA Gambling ban came into force. It became two days before Sen Barney Frank is to have its Regulation Bill heard by the committee on Thursday, December 3rd.

On Friday 27 Nov But something happened, the US Government to postpone the enforcement of Ban Gambling with six months to 1 June 2010. It serves only to allow the correct approach to regulation and allow the Barney Frank bill that will be sent through the channel.

To look at it pragmatically everyone involved knows that online gambling will be legalized in the United States, regulated and taxed in the next 18 months so why put any further pressure on already stretched banking system for something that will be reversed in a short time? It seems that common sense has prevailed and the road is now open for the legalization of online gambling in the United States.

This of course is the only course of action open to the US Government and inevitable. This leaves the question is where the big casinos of Las Vegas go from here? As we have written before the likes of MGM and Las Vegas Sands has not exactly proactive in their step toward readiness for legalization come.

All we can say is that our door is always open should they need advice.
